Double Click on the speaker
icon on the lower right hand side of your screen. (if no
speaker go to volume controls in multimedia folder)
Click "Options",
click "Properties", click in recording - a dot
should appear in the box/circle
Click "OK"
You will see sliders for the
recording controls
Under "Microphone"
there should be a "Advanced" box
If there is no box click
"options" and make sure there is a tick next to
advanced controls.
Click on the advanced box and
you will see a option to "enable gain control / or
20db Gain control. " make sure there is a tick in
the box and gain control is enabled.
